Job summary

Leeds Building Society is seeking a Senior Model Validation Analyst to lead validation reviews across credit and non-credit risk models. You will challenge complex analyses, assess design, data and assumptions, and form evidence-based conclusions to support key decisions.

The role emphasizes independent testing, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement. You’ll collaborate with model owners and developers, guide analysts, and help advance validation methods, tools, data and automation

Qualifications

• Experience in independent model validation, testing and reporting.
• Knowledge of how to assess design, data, assumptions, implementation and performance.
• Working knowledge of model classes such as IRB, IFRS 9, pricing, forecasting, etc.
• Hands-on programming and data-handling to interrogate data and reproduce calculations.
• Understanding of model risk, lifecycle, controls and regulatory expectations.

Responsibilities

• Own defined validation reviews from scoping to closure with support.
• Apply independent testing and benchmark analysis to assess fitness for purpose.
• Draft clear findings and present evidence-based conclusions to stakeholders.
• Support action closure and contribute to improving validation methods and tooling across areas.
