Job summary

Skipton Building Society is seeking a Senior Model Validation Analyst to validate models and algorithms that support key business decisions. You will provide independent assurance on strategic models, delivering clear insights and challenge to stakeholders while combining technical expertise with commercial awareness to drive governance.

This permanent, full‑time role offers blended working: three days in the Skipton office and two days from home.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of model validation techniques incl. desktop reviews and statistical testing.
• Ability to critically analyse and validate complex statistical models across business areas.
• Understanding of regulatory environment including SS1/23 and IFRS 9.

Responsibilities

• Conduct independent validation of key models and algorithms used in business decisions.
• Track and manage Model Risk across the organisation.
• Write validation reports and present findings to senior stakeholders.
• Build relationships across the business and communicate complex concepts clearly.
