Starling Bank is seeking a Model Validation Manager to lead the Model Risk Oversight Team. You will validate AI/ML and traditional models, produce validation reports, and present findings to senior leadership. You will also help shape governance frameworks and manage risk across the model lifecycle.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive experience with quantitative models, and excellent communication within a fast-moving fintech environment.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate-level education in a numerical field.
• Proven track record leading quantitative teams.
• Experience validating AI/ML and traditional models.
• Expert in Python/R/SQL/SAS and spreadsheets.

Aufgaben

• Act as a senior escalation point for complex validation challenges and ensure robust risk management practices.
• Validate diverse models across Starling, including AI/ML and traditional models (IFRS 9, Forecasting, Operational Risk).
• Contribute to Model and AI risk governance framework development and enhancements.
• Produce and review validation reports and engage with developers to address findings within timelines.
• Lead on Risk Assurance reviews and prepare committee papers for senior leadership.
