Job summary

Apple's London office is seeking a QA Lead to oversee the Shazam iOS & Android testing on a 12-month contract. You will set strategy and direct a team split approx. 75% automation and 25% manual, driving automation maturity and migrating existing manual cases into automated coverage.

You will guide test planning, maintenance, and collaborate with analytics and development teams to ensure release readiness. Strong communication and leadership are essential, with hands-on coding not required.

Qualifications

• Senior QA experience leading and coordinating teams, ideally in contract settings with minimal ramp-up.
• Strong mobile testing background across iOS and Android.
• Solid working knowledge of automation frameworks (e.g., Appium, XCUITest, Espresso), enough to set strategy and guide the team (hands-on coding not required).
• Track record of planning manual-to-automation migrations.
• Strong communication skills and analytical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Setting test strategy and test planning for new features across automation and manual testing.
• Directing the team to develop and maintain test suites on iOS and Android.
• Planning and overseeing the migration of manual/regression cases into automation.
• Owning quality standards, release readiness, and reporting.
• Interfacing with business analytics and software development teams to identify usage patterns.
