Job summary

MCS Group is seeking a Senior Mobile QA Engineer in Belfast to own quality across iOS and Android apps. This hands-on role collaborates with Engineering, Product, Platform and Research teams to ensure new features are well tested and releases meet high standards.

You will plan and execute manual and exploratory testing, identify defects, and contribute to API testing with Postman, SQL validation and automation efforts across mobile applications and APIs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' QA experience with Senior/Lead level.
• Hands-on testing for iOS and Android.
• Experience in fast-paced product/engineering environments.
• Strong manual, exploratory, and regression testing.
• Experience with API testing using Postman.
• SQL and data validation knowledge.
• Experience with automated testing for mobile apps and APIs.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of QA across iOS and Android.
• Plan and execute manual, exploratory, regression, and release testing.
• Identify, reproduce and manage defects to resolution.
• Collaborate with developers and product teams through the lifecycle.
• Participate in sprint planning and prioritise QA activities by risk.
• Test REST APIs using Postman.
• Validate backend data and integrations using SQL and structured data.
• Contribute to automated testing across mobile apps and APIs.
