Job summary

Collinson Group in London is seeking a Mobile Squad Lead Engineer to drive native Android and iOS development for a squad of 5–7 engineers. You will lead technically, write code daily and set high standards for mobile engineering.

As a hands-on leader, you will refine architecture, mentor engineers, own CI/CD and app store releases, and collaborate with backend teams to deliver robust mobile experiences across cloud services.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience focused on mobile.
• Native Android and iOS development expertise.
• Experience as Lead/Tech Lead or senior mobile engineer.
• Experience integrating AI-assisted development tools.
• Experience with REST APIs and GraphQL and cloud services.
• Proven testing and automation experience.
• Experience owning mobile CI/CD and app releases.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of native Android and iOS applications, scalable and well-architected.
• Provide technical leadership on mobile architecture and best practices.
• Remain hands-on, writing and reviewing mobile code.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to design and consume APIs.
• Mentor and coach mobile engineers to grow.
• Own mobile build, release, and deployment processes including CI/CD and app store submissions.
• Champion automated testing and observability; improve app reliability.
