Embla Medical in Livingston is seeking a Senior Mobile Apps Developer to strengthen the Össur R&D team. You will design, develop and test mobile apps and cloud services that connect patients and clinicians with our devices.

You will work across the full development lifecycle, collaborate with firmware, electronics, clinical teams and Global Product Managers, and apply CI/CD in an Agile environment. The role is mainly on-site with one remote day per week.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in CS/Software Eng or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of relevant mobile development experience.
• Production-quality iOS apps in Swift/ObjC.
• Android apps in Kotlin/Java.
• Experience with AWS or Azure.
• APIs, databases and cloud integration.
• BLE connectivity to hardware/embedded systems.
• Strong debugging and automated testing skills.
• Experience across the full product development lifecycle.
• Autonomous work style with cross-functional collaboration.
• Fluent English communication.

Aufgaben

• Develop, test and maintain mobile and companion applications for connected medical devices.
• Build intuitive and accessible user experiences for patients and clinicians, incorporating user feedback.
• Integrate applications with connected devices using Bluetooth LE and ensure reliable communication with embedded systems.
• Develop and maintain cloud services using AWS or Azure, including deployment, databases and data logging.
• Create, use and maintain APIs and endpoints, including Python or PHP where applicable.
• Collaborate with app developers, firmware and electronics engineers, technical managers, clinical teams and Global Product Managers.
• Troubleshoot defects using logs, telemetry and debugging tools; perform root-cause analysis.
• Apply software engineering best practices, including version control, code reviews, automated testing and CI/CD in Agile.
• Produce technical documentation, support verification, traceability and risk management for apps and cloud infra.
