Job summary

Ki in London is seeking a Senior MLOps Engineer to join our Algorithmic Underwriting team. You will develop and extend our MLOps system to improve underwriting models and enable faster, safer production deployments.

Collaborate across the business to tackle technical challenges, expand model lifecycle governance, and drive adoption of best practices while coaching junior engineers and helping shape the system roadmap.

Qualifications

• Experience in designing, delivering and evolving MLOps systems.
• Understanding of feature store, model registry and monitoring concepts.
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code and Terraform usage.
• Knowledge of data products and ML algorithm governance.
• Awareness of market regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design, deliver and evolve Ki’s end-to-end MLOps system.
• Create and iterate governance around model lifecycle management.
• Enable Ki colleagues to deploy models quickly and safely into production.
• Manage cost and ROI related to the MLOps system, including build vs buy decisions.
• Identify opportunities to extend Ki’s MLOps system.
• Advocate and uphold model management best practices.
• Educate the Ki team on MLOps capabilities and drive adoption.
• Collaborate to structure and evolve the roadmap for Ki’s MLOps system.
• Coach early-career team members.
• Drive improvements in Ki’s digital underwriting capability.
