Job summary

Expedia Group is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Scientist to join the Lodging Search Ranking AI team within the Expedia Product & Technology division. You will design, develop, and deploy ML models to power lodging search and personalized rankings across multiple brands and business lines.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant professional experience
• Ownership of machine learning solutions from problem definition to production
• Hands-on coding experience in scientific and production environments
• Experience deploying ML solutions with cross-functional partners

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and apply ML solutions for personalization, product, and business problems
• Lead end-to-end scientific work: problem formulation, data exploration, feature engineering, modeling, evaluation, and iteration
• Collaborate with engineers, product, and business stakeholders to integrate ML into services and workflows
• Use strong technical judgment to choose methods, validate outcomes, and improve model performance
• Safely integrate and operate AI/ML solutions in production environments
• Stay informed about advancements in recommender systems and relevance algorithms
