Alignerr is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Expert to help build foundational training data for next-generation language models. You will design and validate step-by-step reasoning traces, focusing on planning, tool use, and decision quality in real-world tasks.

This fully remote, hourly contract role offers flexible hours (10–40 hours/week) and the chance to collaborate with leading researchers on scalable ML reasoning pipelines and AI evaluation frameworks.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in ML with a focus on model reasoning and training pipelines.
• Ability to decompose complex problems into clear, logical steps.
• Familiarity with how large language models are trained and evaluated.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Author complex, high-fidelity reasoning traces that show how an LLM should plan, use tools, and decide.
• Design structured, step-by-step decision-making data to train models for reliable production reasoning.
• Review and refine traces from others to ensure coherence and tool-use accuracy.
• Develop data strategies for multi-step problem scenarios to advance model capabilities.
• Apply senior-level architectural insight to ensure traces reflect expert ML thinking.
