Job summary

The Voleon Group is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to collaborate with PhD researchers on quantitative trading models. You will build and maintain data pipelines, translate research ideas into production-grade software, and develop tools to accelerate experimentation.

You will work at the boundary of research and engineering, applying statistics, linear algebra, and Python with optional R/C++ experience. A strong engineering standard and collaboration with researchers are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field.
• Strong CS fundamentals and mathematical maturity.
• Experience building ML systems and data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Partner with PhD researchers to design and productize ML models for trading strategies.
• Develop and maintain complex data pipelines with validation and monitoring.
• Translate research prototypes into production-ready, well-tested code.
• Build extensible tools and frameworks to accelerate model development.
• Lead projects from requirements to delivery with an emphasis on maintainability.
• Coordinate deployment efforts and guide junior engineers and researchers.
