Faculty is seeking a Lead Machine Learning Engineer to direct complex AI and software projects, from solution architecture to client deployments. You will balance deep technical work with leadership to foster team growth and reusable solutions across the organisation.

You will drive innovation, guide engineers, mentor talent, and partner with customers to achieve practical, high-impact outcomes. The role blends technical mastery with strategic delivery in a fast-growing Life Science AI team.

Qualifications

• Expert in Python and at least one compiled language; strong production-grade systems.
• Hands-on with cloud providers (Azure/AWS/GCP) and modern ML infra.
• Experience leading teams, mentoring engineers, and delivering across multiple workstreams.

Responsibilities

• Set technical direction for complex ML and software projects, guiding priorities.
• Architect and maintain scalable ML/software systems with clear architectural decisions.
• Define project roadmaps and oversee multi-stream delivery in high-risk environments.
• Develop shared resources and libraries; mentor engineers to contribute to them.
