Job summary

Oura is seeking a Senior ML Algorithm Scientist to lead the end-to-end development of health‑driven ML models. You will fuse multimodal biosignals (PPG, motion, temperature) to derive reliable metrics and scale models for millions of users.

You will work with hardware, firmware, software, and data teams in a fast‑paced environment, travel may be required to stay aligned with roadmap and product goals.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of experience in machine learning, biosignal processing, sensor fusion, and analyzing real‑world, multimodal time‑series data.
• Advanced degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience taking ML models from lab to production and scalable data systems.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the entire ML and algorithm development pipeline, from signal processing to training, evaluating, and scaling robust models.
• Develop and deploy advanced ML algorithms leveraging deep learning architectures (Transformers, RNNs) and classical signal processing.
• Design robust methods for fusing time-series data from multiple sensors to extract reliable physiological metrics.
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, software, and data infra teams to align on feature goals and integration constraints.
• Translate technical results into clear narratives for senior stakeholders to guide future research.
