Senior Middleware Engineer
Glasgow (Remote)
£432 p/d inside IR35

Our client is looking for a Senior Engineer with strong Middleware expertise to join their Technology Operations & Cyber Security team. You'll work across critical systems, contributing to both project delivery and business-as-usual activities.

What you'll do:

• Take ownership of project tasks and drive them to completion
• Collaborate across teams to deliver high-quality service outcomes
• Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement
• Ensure solutions align with operational and strategic goals
• Support key business systems, including certificate renewals and deployment changes
• Provide excellent customer service, working with internal and external stakeholders

What you'll bring:

• Deep knowledge of Middleware technologies such as:
• IBM Integration Bus (IIB)/ACE/MQ
• WebLogic
• JBoss 7 & 8
• Windows & RHEL OS
• Dynatrace
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Ownership mindset with flexibility for out-of-hours project support when needed

It would be advantageous if you had:

• Experience with IBM WebSphere Application Server (ND)
• Familiarity with J2EE Web Application Containers
• Understanding of banking operations
• Knowledge of ITIL processes (Change, Incident & Problem Management)
