Job summary

Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Solutions, part of Spirax Group, is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer - Metrology in Falmouth. You will lead surveillance testing, develop metrology methods, and drive data-driven improvements across measurement systems.

The role requires strong CMM programming skills (PC-DMIS/Calypso), a solid base in ISO 9001/13485 environments, and hands-on testing with a proactive, structured improvement mindset.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metrology, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field (or equivalent).
• Experience in metrology, dimensional inspection, or measurement systems engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead surveillance testing programmes and drive improvements from data-led insights.
• Develop and validate metrology methods for dimensional, mechanical, and functional measurements.
• Own measurement system analysis (MSA) and ensure robust, compliant processes.
• Design and optimise CMM programmes for tight-tolerance components.
• Create test protocols and procedures ensuring regulatory/quality compliance.
• Conduct hands-on testing and produce evidence-based reports.
• Collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing and Quality teams to support audits.
