We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Metrology Engineer to join our team within Brompton, a global leader within the folding bicycle manufacturing industry. In this role, you will be required to provide best practice metrology support to key departments within the business covering Research, Design, NPI, Operations, Product Assurance and Quality departments for serial production. A key function of the role will be the initial production set up and verification of parts & assemblies using MSA/Gauge R&R methodology. As well as demonstrating technical excellence, you will be an accomplished, innovative, dedicated, enthusiastic individual that pursues challenges head on and is able to work effectively both independently and with other members of the team.
Solid knowledge and understanding of GD&T. Proven knowledge of conducting Gauge R&R / MSA activities to verify & ensure equipment & software program compliance. Proven knowledge of ISO 9001.
Experience of using Hexagon Metrology - PC.DMIS software (desired). Demonstration of the use of PC.DMIS will be required at the interview stage. Understanding of Aberlink CMM Software would be an advantage. Experience of running a Metrology Department would be an advantage. Educated to HNC/HND or Degree Level in an Engineering discipline, or significant relevant Quality Engineering/Metrology related experience in a Research & Development or Manufacturing environment. Provide information, instruction, training, and supervision to ensure our people have the skills and knowledge necessary to achieve the Sustainability and H&S objectives and act in accordance with the Brompton Policies and Procedures. Ensure regular Health & Safety inspections, investigations and self-audits are conducted and that all actions raised are followed up and closed within required timescales.

9 Day Fortnight: This is a flexible working pattern which individuals can opt in for where an employee works their contractual hours across 9 days instead of 10 days (i.e. 80 hours across 9 days instead of 10 days). This means the individual would work an additional hour across Monday to Thursday (across the 2 week period) to gain their Friday off.
