Sopra Steria Ltd is seeking a Messaging and IAM Engineer to support Messaging and IAM strategy for a flagship account. On-site at Newport/Portsmouth/Stevenage, partial UK regional hub coverage. SC clearance preferred; sole British nationals considered. Salary up to £55,000 with comprehensive benefits.

The role focuses on BAU tickets, technical escalations and collaboration with a projects team on large-scale European initiatives in the aerospace sector.

Qualifications

• Experience with on-prem Exchange environments (2019 preferred).
• Experience patching Exchange with SU updates.
• Understanding of E‑Mail/Messaging AV and Spam protection (Cisco ESA or Fortimail a plus).
• Experience with Microsoft Active Directory at Enterprise/Multi Forest scale.
• Strong knowledge of AD, domain structure and GPOs.
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as a key escalation point for technical issues.

Do you have a proven track record working as a Messaging Engineer with some knowledge of IAM?

Sopra Steria’s Aerospace, Defence and Security sector are currently recruiting for an experienced Messaging and IAM Engineer to support on the delivery of Messaging and IAM strategy for a flagship account within the business. This role is pivotal for the team covering both Messaging and IAM BAU activities as well as working on high-profile projects in the aerospace industry. If you are looking for an opportunity to play a key role in progressing Messaging and IAM strategy in an exciting industry, this role is for you.

This role is based on site at one of our regional hubs (Newport, Portsmouth or Stevenage) approximately 4 days per week.

Candidates who hold SC are preferred, SC processing available for the right candidate.Due to the nature of the client, we are only able to progress with sole British nationals.

What you’ll be doing:

• Key team member for technical escalations.
• Customer focused, working BAU tickets covering Messaging and IAM spaces.
• Working with projects team as required – Includes supporting upcoming unique, large scale, one of a kind, European-wide project.

What you’ll bring:

• Strong experience with on-prem Exchange environments (2019 preferrable)
• Experience managing patching schedules across Exchange environment with SU updates
• Understanding of E-Mail/Messaging AV and Spam protection (Cisco ESA or Fortimail a plus)
• Experience with Microsoft Active Directory at Enterprise/Multi Forest scale
• A good understanding of Active Directory, Domain structure and Group Policies (AD, OU, GPO)
• Strong troubleshooting and investigation skills including root cause analysis and effective problem resolution.
• Single Sign-on/PKI knowledge
