Job summary

FBR Construction Recruitment is seeking an experienced MEP Manager for a major high-rise residential development in Basildon, Essex. The role involves coordinating and delivering all MEP services from design to handover, working with consultants, subcontractors, and utility providers to ensure safety, quality and programme compliance.

The candidate should have at least 5 years of MEP/M&E management experience in high-rise projects, with strong coordination skills and knowledge of Building

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in MEP/M&E management, ideally delivering high-rise residential developments.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical and public health building services.
• Experience managing MEP packages through design, installation, commissioning and handover.
• Experience working on complex residential developments with multiple blocks or high-rise buildings.
• Understanding of MEP design coordination and construction sequencing.
• Experience liaising with utility providers and coordinating incoming services.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the management and delivery of MEP services across the development.
• Coordinate and manage all MEP subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee MEP works from design through testing, commissioning and handover.
• Review drawings and design information to identify coordination and buildability issues.
• Coordinate MEP installations with architectural, structural and other packages.
• Monitor MEP design development and changes with contractors and project team.
• Manage MEP services in apartments, communal areas, risers and plant rooms.
• Oversee installation/commissioning of HVAC, electrical distribution, BMS, life-safety systems, lifts and renewables.
• Ensure compliance with Building Regulations, British Standards and CDM Regulations.
• Drive testing and commissioning program to completion.
