An educational mental health service in Wigan is seeking a Senior Education Mental Health Practitioner. This role involves providing low-intensity CBT interventions and supporting young people's mental health in education settings. The ideal candidate will have an EMHP qualification and experience managing risk and delivering evidence-based interventions. Salary ranges from £38,682 to £46,580 per annum, with additional pay enhancements for evenings and weekends.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of The Mental Health Support Team (MHST) in Wigan as Senior Education Mental Health Practitioner. PLEASE NOTE: A EMHP qualification is essential for this role.
We are looking for skilled practitioners, with mental health experience, who can provide low intensity evidenced based CBT interventions, manage risk and are passionate about young person-centred practice.
Successful candidates will play an important part in the in the delivery of high-quality service provision that promotes and improves the mental health and well-being of young people in education settings.
As part of the team, you will be empowered to shape and build the service with further education settings in Wigan. You will help build and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and the wider network.
The Mental Health Practitioner will be an integral part of the MHST in Wigan. You will use your clinical skills to listen to the needs of the child, young person and family to provide meaningful evidenced based interventions. You will provide support, advice and consultation to families/carers and other professionals in the life of the child/young person. You will work closely with education professionals to foster a whole school/college approach to mental well-being.
