Job summary

Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a senior clinician for the Older People’s Intensive Home Treatment Team. You will lead and support a multidisciplinary service that provides 24/7 crisis care, assess risk, and make robust decisions to treat people at home where possible, with a focus on safe, recovery‑focused care and minimizing admissions.

The role requires clinical autonomy, strong leadership of junior staff, and collaboration with the Borough Crisis Manager and MDTs to deliver

Qualifications

• Registered Mental Health Nurse/ AHP/ Social worker with current registration.
• Evidence of post qualification training in relevant area.
• Formal training/ demonstratable evidence as Practice Educator/ Assessor/ Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Promote clinical leadership and support junior staff through appraisal and supervision.
• Lead shift coordination and be a first point of contact for enquiries.
• Ensure adherence to Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act and related legislation.
• Deliver a range of clinical interventions and conduct risk assessments.
• Coordinate collaborative care with MDT and partner organisations.
• Administer and monitor medicines and report incidents as per policy.
