Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join our Mental Health team at HMP Stocken, a category C Mens prison located in Stretton, Rutland.

In this role, you'll be working with a multi-disciplinary team that will support you and help you succeed.

The Mental Health Service is covered:

Monday to Friday - 08:00-17:00

This position is full-time, and you'll receive an annual salary up to £47,466 per annum, depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
  • Responsible for assessment and ongoing management of patients' mental health needs.
  • Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team as an autonomous practitioner managing a caseload, assessing physical, social, and psychological needs to develop holistic care plans.
  • Contribute to our nursing strategy and vision to provide outstanding evidence-based care, seeking and acting on patient feedback for personalized care.
  • Deliver non-judgemental care, building therapeutic relationships, and promoting professional boundaries.
  • Participate in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care following policies and safeguarding procedures.

  • Occupational Therapist or Social Worker - HCPC / NMC Registered
  • Experience in mental health settings and understanding of this patient group

Experience in hospital, community, or prison settings is desirable but not essential.
