Job summary. This six-month secondment offers a leadership opportunity within the Greater Manchester Mental Health Urgent Triage Team (MHUTT), focusing on the NHS 111 Dial 2 mental health service. The role is for a clinically experienced and operationally astute professional seeking to broaden their leadership portfolio and contribute to urgent mental health care transformation.

As Clinical Lead, you will provide clinical leadership and operational oversight to a fast-paced, high-demand service across Greater Manchester, shaping the delivery of the NHS 111 Dial 2 pathway to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate care for individuals in crisis.

  • Clinical Leadership: Lead and support the delivery of high-quality mental health triage through NHS 111 Dial 2, ensuring clinical governance and adherence to best practice.
  • Operational Management: Oversee daily operations, including shift coordination, workforce planning, and escalation management.
  • Supervision & Support: Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to staff, promoting reflective practice and professional development.
  • Complex Case Oversight: Lead on the management of high-risk and complex presentations, ensuring robust risk assessment and decision-making.
  • System Collaboration: Work closely with system partners including emergency services, community teams, and commissioners to ensure integrated care pathways.

Job responsibilities
