Our role

As the Senior Medical Writer, you will produce appropriately formatted copy suitable for use across a range of media.

You will collaborate with internal teams to add significant value—applying your experience to guide projects, ensuring the copy is appropriate to the brief and of high quality.

You will work with the Accounts team to manage client relations as appropriate, ensuring the Copy function is well-represented, and will mentor junior writers.

What you can expect to be doing:

  • Generate original content for various media and audiences, aligned with the relevant code of practice and brand communication objectives
  • Contribute to strategy development, advising on scientific elements to ensure appropriate responses that enhance credibility
  • Ensure all copy aligns with the overarching campaign strategy
  • Produce and edit copy into formats suitable for different media, considering UX and project flow
  • Understand current and future client needs and develop offerings accordingly
  • Continuously develop your writing style, tailoring tone for effective communication with diverse audiences
  • Support new business development through proposals, workshops, and pitches
  • Lead on client brand activity, becoming the ‘go-to’ writer across clients and therapy areas
  • Coordinate with other teams to optimize copy delivery processes
  • Ensure work is completed to high standards within deadlines, requesting additional time if necessary

Client servicing

  • Attend client meetings with integrity
  • Participate in scientific discussions internally and externally
  • Lead copy contributions in pitches
  • Monitor project progress proactively, providing guidance as needed

What we’d like to see from you:

  • At least 2 years of experience as a Medical Writer in an agency setting, preferably in creative medical writing
  • Experience working with global pharmaceutical companies and creative briefs
  • Experience working directly with clients
  • Mentoring or management experience or willingness to develop it
