Job Description:

The Role

Senior Medical Writer to write copy including for invitation letters, websites, programme books, slide decks, published reports, and full manuscripts.

• Create concepts and content
• QA and review of materials
• Source of knowledge for therapy areas including diabetes and cardiovascular disease, the ABPI Code of Practice, and the role of bodies such as NICE
• Liaise with authors / speakers
• Provide guidance and supervision to AMWs and MWs

You

• Good degree in life sciences and training in the ABPI code of practice
• Editorial experience in a medical education setting – writing, editing and proofreading
• Able to synthesise complex information and solve problems pragmatically
• Knowledge of the main principles of pharmacology, evidence-based medicine and drug regulation and governance (e.g., types of clinical trials, role of bodies such as NICE)
• If you have knowledge of cardiovascular/renal/metabolic disease, its treatment options, management in the UK, and the landmark clinical trials affecting practice, you get bonus points!
