About the Role

We're seeking a talented and experienced Senior Medical Writer to join our growing team and contribute to impactful medical communications projects. This is an exciting opportunity to work on key accounts and play a vital role in delivering high-quality medical content.

As a Senior Medical Writer at Ogilvy Health, you'll be a vital voice in shaping the future of healthcare, working on cutting-edge projects that make a real difference in patients' lives.

Join us in the iconic Sea Containers office Tuesdays, Wednesdays and every third Friday to connect with your team, stay up-to-date on agency developments, participate in brainstorming sessions and engage directly with clients. As we continue to evolve and optimise our collaborative environment, we anticipate increased in-office time in the coming months to further enhance teamwork, learning, and mentorship opportunities. We'll provide at least three months' notice of any adjustments to our in-office days, ensuring a smooth transition and ample time to adapt.

What You’ll Do

As a Senior Medical Writer, you will develop a wide range of medical communication materials, including:

  • Congress materials (e.g., posters, presentations)
  • Advisory board materials (e.g., discussion guides, summaries)
  • Digital assets (e.g., websites, interactive tools)
  • Workshop materials
  • Other medical affairs and marketing materials.
  • Work closely with our client teams to understand project objectives and deliver solutions that meet their needs.
  • Conduct literature searches and data analysis to support content development.
  • Ensure all materials are accurate, scientifically sound, and compliant with relevant guidelines and regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., account managers, creative designers) to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
What You’ll Need
  • Significant experience as a Medical Writer in a medical communications agency.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology, clinical data, and pharmaceutical regulations.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate complex scientific information clearly and concisely.
  • Experience working on a variety of medical communication projects.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Experience in Renal is desirable.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
