My client has a position available for a Senior Medical Science Liaison Manager to join their team for a 6-month initial contract within their Medical team focusing on post-natal depression, mental health, and women’s health. The role covers North UK, with a mixture of field and office-based work (Manchester upwards). This position requires an EU work permit.
Your new role
As the Senior Medical Science Liaison Manager, you will be 50% field/customer-facing, acting as the medical and scientific face of the company. Your responsibilities include providing medical/scientific support around disease areas and products within the governance framework, building partnerships with key stakeholders, delivering medical education, and gathering insights to support company strategy. Additionally, you will have 50% office-based responsibilities, contributing to medical strategy, developing scientific communication materials, and identifying opportunities for scientific projects to address unmet needs.
What you'll need to succeed
You should possess a higher scientific degree and have experience as a Medical Science Liaison with both field and office-based medical affairs experience. Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with primary care providers and midwives are essential. Therapeutic knowledge in post-natal depression, mental health conditions (e.g., bipolar disorder, schizophrenia), or women’s health (e.g., menopause, contraceptives) is preferred.
