Job summary

Jupiter, one of the UK's leading investment management companies, is seeking an experienced Media Relations Manager to join its Corporate Affairs team in a senior role.

You will deputise for the Head of Media Relations, lead UK media plans, manage the UK PR agency and advise senior stakeholders on reputational issues while building strong journalist relationships across financial media.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of media relations experience in financial services.
• Design and execute media plans aligned with business priorities.
• Proven ability to manage reactive media enquiries quickly.
• Strong journalist relationships and digital media know-how.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across audiences.

Job description

Jupiter provides investment services to individual and institutional investors through mutual funds (UK unit trusts, Luxembourg SICAVs and Dublin OEICs), separately managed accounts and sub-advised funds. Jupiter has experienced a period of international growth with offices open in EMEA and APAC.

Background

A rare and excitingopportunity has arisen for an experienced Media Relations Manager to join Jupiter's Corporate Affairs team in a senior role, assisting the Head of Media Relations with proactive and reactive media engagement at one of the UK’s most iconic asset managers.

Key Responsibilities

• Deputise for Head of Media relations as required

Desired Skills / Experience

• 5-7 years' media relations experience within financial services or a highly regulated environment.
• Demonstrable experience designing and executing effective media plans aligned with business priorities
• Experience managing reactive media enquiries at pace to deliver the best reputational outcomes
• Established journalist relationships, and a sound understanding of traditional and digital media
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills across a variety of audiences and channels
• Demonstrable stakeholder management and influencing skills
• A collaborative approach, with the ability to thrive in a friendly, but dynamic and fast-moving team
