Qualifications

• Significant experience in a media relations role.
• Proven copywriting ability focused on products/features in trade media.
• Experience developing relationships with trade media/magazine editors.
• Able to contribute strategically beyond execution.
• Understanding of trade media landscape.
• Capable of leading cross‑channel communications plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of proactive and reactive media relations plans aligned with marketing objectives.
• Produce and oversee high-quality content for trade media—articles, features, releases, case studies, web stories.
• Act as editorial lead, ensuring accuracy and alignment with brand voice.
• Identify compelling stories from across the business and shape into publishable media assets.
• Build and maintain relationships with key journalists and editors.
• Lead pitches to secure high-value coverage across trade and digital media.
• Maintain media lists and ensure targeted outreach and segmentation.
• Manage the press office, ensuring timely responses to inquiries.
• Monitor media coverage and competitor activity, providing insights and recommendations.
• Lead monthly planning meetings to align PR with business priorities.
• Support proofreading and copy for literature, websites and collateral when needed.
• Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and media developments.
