Job summary

Future Talent Group is seeking a Senior Product Development Engineer in Bristol to design, test, validate and improve advanced mechatronic products for aerospace, defence, automotive and other sectors.

You will lead cross-disciplinary teams, own technical work packages, and work with mechanical, electrical, software, firmware, and production colleagues to drive quality and efficiency across the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

Experience developing automation equipment or complex electromechanical systems.
Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to read electrical schematics and panel documentation.
Experience integrating mechanical, electrical and control systems.
Experience in product lifecycle testing and validation.
Understanding of CAD data and technical drawings.
FMEA, RCCA, DFM, DFA and continuous improvement tools.
Ability to own technical work packages and issues.

Responsibilities

Develop new mechatronic products from concept through to production.
Lead testing, validation, reliability, and performance assessments.
Investigate technical issues and drive continuous product improvement.
Work closely with mechanical, electrical, software, firmware, and production teams.
Help mature engineering processes and product development standards as the business scales.
