Job summary

Ivegate Ltd, a Leeds-based M&E contractor, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Site Manager to lead on-site delivery from first fix to commissioning across multiple projects.

You will coordinate mechanical labour, subcontractors and specialist trades, ensure programmes are met, and maintain quality and safety standards onsite.

The role requires strong organisational skills, technical competence in mechanical installations, and the ability to lead a site team while reporting to Management.

Qualifications

• Experience as Mechanical Site Manager / Supervisor in construction or M&E.
• Strong knowledge of commercial mechanical installations.
• Experience coordinating mechanical subcontractors and site teams.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and specifications.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Health & safety-conscious with proactive problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day delivery of mechanical installations on site.
• Coordinate mechanical labour, subcontractors and specialist contractors.
• Plan and monitor works in line with the project programme.
• Coordinate with electrical trades and other construction disciplines.
• Ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and to required standards.
• Attend site meetings and provide regular progress updates.
• Read and interpret drawings, specifications and project information.
• Lead by example and promote a positive health, safety and quality culture.
