You will like

The role of Senior Mechanical Projects Engineer, where you will be responsible for Project Management, Coordination, Installation, and commissioning of large-scale HVAC, BMS, UPS, and Chiller/Cooling systems retrofit for a datacentre/computer centre. The initial client/project value is over £25M. Your specific responsibilities include:

• Developing system specifications and preparing construction drawings, documentation, plant, and equipment schedules for mechanical HVAC systems.
• Handling technical submissions and RFIs in communication with project managers.
• Placing orders with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Coordinating work activities, including subcontractors.
• Managing the entire contract costs from inception to final account, including preparing and agreeing on monthly payment applications.
• Tracking project costs, including labor and material expenditures and forecasts.
• Managing variations and additional works and their associated costs.
• Conducting site visits, inspections, and attending client and subcontractor meetings.
• Resolving problems and issues during construction.
• Organizing services commissioning and start-up of new systems.
• Preparing operating and maintenance literature.
• Providing technical support and training to clients.
• Staying up-to-date with the latest HVAC technologies.

You will have

To succeed as a Senior Mechanical Projects Engineer, you should have experience working within the Building Services Sector as a Mechanical Project Manager, Contracts Manager, Site Manager, or M&E Manager, along with the following:

• HND/HNC or preferably a Bachelor's degree in HVAC Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in the design and construction of Mechanical HVAC systems.
• A strong understanding of HVAC principles and practices.
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or Building Information Modelling (BIM) software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
