Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a Senior Mechanical Project Manager to lead mechanical building-services projects from scope through installation, commissioning and handover, ensuring safety, on-time delivery and quality. This role focuses on physical mechanical works—heating, ventilation, cooling, pipework and plantroom systems—coordinating clients, engineers, subcontractors and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Significant experience managing mechanical engineering or building-services projects.
• Strong knowledge of heating, ventilation, cooling, pipework, pumps and plantroom systems.
• Experience delivering projects from planning through to handover.
• Experience managing budgets, forecasts, variations and WIP.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and technical specifications.
• Experience managing subcontractors, suppliers and site teams.
• SMSTS or an equivalent five-day Site Management Safety qualification.
• Valid CSCS card.
• Strong leadership, commercial and communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage mechanical installation, replacement, upgrade and refurbishment projects.
• Lead projects from initial scope and design through to final handover.
• Develop project programmes, delivery plans and resource schedules.
• Review technical drawings, specifications and scopes of work.
• Coordinate engineers, subcontractors, suppliers and site activities.
• Monitor project progress and address potential delays or delivery risks.
• Manage budgets, variations, forecasts and WIP with the Commercial team.
• Ensure compliance with technical standards, client requirements and CDM Regulations.
• Produce and review RAMS and other project documentation.
• Lead project meetings and provide progress reports to clients and stakeholders.
• Manage testing, commissioning, snagging and handover.
• Ensure all health, safety and environmental procedures are followed.
