A leading mechanical and electrical installation provider based in the UK seeks an experienced Senior Mechanical Project Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will manage mechanical installations into new build commercial and industrial units, ensuring projects are delivered on-time and within budget. Candidates should have a background in M&E / Building Services and experience directly managing large-scale projects. Overview

A leading, established and highly successful provider of mechanical and electrical installation services to commercial and industrial buildings seeks the solid appointment of an experienced and commercially talented Senior Mechanical Project Manager from an M&E / Building Services Mechanical installation project management background to join their planned growth and continued success.

Candidates sought MUST be based / commutable to Birmingham / West Midlands.

Responsibilities
  • Manage mechanical installations into new build commercial and industrial units (e.g., industrial sheds for warehousing & distribution or manufacture, data centres, hospitals, apartment blocks, etc.).
  • Lead and coordinate the delivery of mechanical installations and all associated services within projects, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and to-spec outcomes.
  • Interface with main contractors and work with site-based teams including Site Managers, Supervisors and mechanical installation engineers, whilst collaborating with other specialist mechanical engineers to undertake elements of these installs.
  • Be a confident, client-facing leader who conducts meetings with professionalism and integrity.
  • Organise and liaise regularly with site teams and work alongside other Project Managers to drive project delivery.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Experience in managing schemes up to £25M+ is ideal; consideration given to candidates with slightly different project scales based on experience.
  • Background in M&E / Building Services, with direct project management and delivery experience of mechanical installations in commercial and industrial environments.
  • Experience dealing with main contractors is highly desirable.
