Job summary

Kier Group is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join the Maple Lodge team in Rickmansworth. The role involves delivering mechanical solutions for Thames Water projects, with some remote work and occasional office travel.

You will lead from inception to completion, coordinate with Tier 2 supply chain design teams, ensure CDM compliance, manage procurement, and mentor graduate engineers on site.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering large Waste Water Schemes.
• Strong on-site leadership and team management.
• Experience with CDM compliance and constructability.
• Driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Leading mechanical engineering from inception to completion with integrated designs.
• Collaborating with design partners to ensure CDM compliance and constructability.
• Procurement of plant, materials and specialist subcontractors with the commercial team.
• Chairing and attending HAZOP/OPMAN events and maintaining design risk registers.
• Mentoring and supporting graduate mechanical engineers.
