Job summary

Cardiff and Vale University Health Board is seeking a Mechanical Project & Compliance Engineer to lead a team of mechanical engineers in discretionary capital schemes and estate compliance. The role requires knowledge of current mechanical regulations and strong leadership within the NHS context.

The successful candidate will manage capital projects from brief through design, commissioning and handover, ensuring cost effectiveness and compliance with statutory requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent level of experience in Mechanical / Building Services engineering.
• Masters Degree or equivalent level of experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of designated capital projects from design to handover.
• Provide specialist advice on mechanical engineering matters and design standards.
• Manage and mentor the Design/Compliance team within the section.
• Coordinate with external consultants and ensure procurement processes are followed.
