Job summary

Salter Grange Limited is seeking an experienced Mechanical Package Manager for a major data centre project based in Vienna, Austria. You will own the mechanical package management from planning through handover, liaising with project teams, client, and subcontractors to meet safety, schedule and quality targets.

The role requires strong experience in mechanical packages on large-scale projects, with data centre exposure viewed positively.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience with a recognised construction contractor.
• Proven track record as Mechanical Package Manager or similar.
• Experience delivering mechanical packages on large-scale projects.
• Data centre or mission-critical project experience advantageous.
• Strong understanding of mechanical drawings and specs.
• Experience managing subcontractors, programme, QA/QC and commercial changes.
• Familiarity with Primavera/Project planning software and CAD/BIM processes.
• Excellent organisational, planning and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery and coordination of the Mechanical Package from installation to handover.
• Manage mechanical subcontractors, onboarding, progress and performance.
• Coordinate works with programme milestones.
• Drive EHS and QA/QC standards across the package.
• Review drawings, specifications, IFC information.
• Coordinate RFIs, technical queries, design changes and BIM/CAD.
• Manage snagging, punch lists, documentation and close-out.
• Support commercial management of labour, materials, plant, variations and valuations.
• Collaborate with QS and commercial team on variations.
• Attend project, planning and client meetings, provide progress updates.
• Ensure O&M docs, as-builts and final handover are completed.
