Are you an experienced Estimator ready to take the lead on some high value and high profile projects? Do you want to work with an industry leader in their field?

With over 20 years of experience in the Commercial Offsite Fabrication industry, this company has established itself as a market leader. They specialise in high-quality prefabricated MEP solutions.

They have a strong in-house team of design engineers, CAD technicians, contracts managers, and skilled tradespeople working collaboratively to deliver turnkey solutions across the UK, Ireland, and Europe.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team as a Senior Mechanical Estimator, supporting major new-build Data Centre projects. Specialising in the design, offsite prefabrication, and installation of bespoke mechanical and electrical plantrooms, the company is growing rapidly within the European Data Centre market.

• Prepare detailed costings for prefabricated fit-out packages including:
• Mechanical distribution systems (risers and laterals)
• Bespoke mechanical and electrical plantroom solutions
• Full lifecycle coverage: design, offsite fabrication, onsite install
• Generate mechanical take-offs from schematics and 3D models
• Input and review estimates using mechanical estimating software
• Complete Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and unit rate build-ups

Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations

Collaborate with the Commercial team to analyse labour requirements and associated costs

Prepare tender/enquiry review packs to assist with bid/no-bid decisions

Internal Collaboration & Project Support

• Work closely with Contracts Managers, Purchasing, and the wider delivery team to ensure a seamless project handover
• Attend site meetings pre- and post-award with engineering and contract management teams
• Support preparation of handover packs and participate in internal project briefings
• Mentor and support junior estimators working on Data Centre projects
• Conduct post-project cost analysis to identify variances and support continuous improvement
• Take on other responsibilities as required by management

Key Responsibilities

Estimating & Costing

• Prepare detailed costings for prefabricated fit-out packages including:
