Job summary

Aqua Consultants seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to deliver feasibility and detailed design within the Water sector, with exposure to utilities, infrastructure and industrial sectors.

The role is a consultancy with potential secondment to client sites on a part-time or full-time basis, requiring design management, site visits, and mentoring of junior engineers to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

Qualifications

• Water Industry or wider utilities experience.
• Knowledge of water and sewage treatment processes and equipment/systems.
• Leading and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience from feasibility to outline and detailed design.
• Production of calculations (e.g., hydraulic pump calculations) and drawings/datasheets.

Responsibilities

• Lead or contribute on feasibility, outline and detailed design projects.
• Tendering and developing fee bids.
• Design management and coordination of multi-discipline projects.
• Leading/conducting site visits as needed.
• Liaising with clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Support junior engineers with development and mentoring.
• Produce deliverables to time, cost and quality.
• Provide technical guidance and develop innovative solutions.
• Check and review documents.
