Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Water Team with opportunities to be based across our North and Midlands offices—Birmingham, Chesterfield, Leeds and Manchester—while benefiting from a flexible hybrid working model.

You’ll undertake the design and review of mechanical elements in wastewater and water infrastructure projects, lead design stages from feasibility to construction, mentor junior staff and support bids, ensuring quality, budgets and schedules are met.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in the design of water and wastewater engineering deliverables.
• Chartered (or near Chartered) professional.
• Experience managing projects and mentoring juniors.

Responsibilities

• Undertake design and review of mechanical elements for water infrastructure projects.
• Lead design stages from feasibility to construction.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and clients to deliver compliant solutions.
