Job summary

ASMPT SMT UK Limited in Weymouth invites a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our R&D team. You will conceptualise and deliver mechanical designs for SMT printing machines and related modules within a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent with mid-level experience.
• Strong understanding of dynamic mechanical, electromechanical, and mechatronic systems.
• Proven experience in definition, design and assembly of manufacturing processes, costs, and tolerances.
• Knowledge of NX CAD and EDM systems such as Teamcenter PLM.
• Familiarity with BS8888 and ISO8015, and product change management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver mechanical design for SMT printing machines and modules.
• Perform complex analyses and technical risk assessments.
• Identify requirements, problems and opportunities for projects.
• Lead and mentor others to meet changing technical needs.
• Prepare reports, drawings, specifications, and documentation.
