Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer (Public Health) to support the Tunnel Systems MEP team. You will oversee technical quality, ensure outputs meet project requirements, and lead public health design across the full project lifecycle.

This role includes drainage, pumped drainage, fire mains, and fixed firefighting systems. You will join an established team with a broad range of experience and participate in knowledge sharing and mentoring of junior colleagues within a

Qualifications

• Foul water ejector, surface water pumped, and soil and waste systems knowledge required.
• Experience with public health design in tunnel environments and adherence to standards.
• Chartered engineer status or equivalent experience is expected.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineers and technicians across multi-disciplinary projects.
• Produce reliable design outputs: reports, specs, drawings.
• Present technical solutions to clients and stakeholders.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to integrate mechanical/public health systems.
• Support bid management and business development activities.
