Senior Mechanical Engineer - Net Zero (Full or Part time), Bristol

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our growing Net Zero Energy Business. This position can be based in Glasgow, Bristol, or Stockton, with a flexible mix of home-working and office/site collaboration. We welcome applicants wishing to work part-time.

Our Net Zero team works on a variety of projects, from feasibility studies to detailed design, site surveys, and verification, including hydrogen production, storage, and industrial decarbonisation.

Your Purpose:

You will work on diverse tasks and projects, possibly as part of a small assignment or a larger team. You will collaborate closely with clients and mentor junior colleagues, building strong relationships and making a positive impact.

Examples of your work:
  • Leading technical aspects of mechanical engineering projects across various design phases.
  • Supervising, developing, and mentoring team members.

Our focus areas include power generation (gas, biomass, hydro, nuclear), hydrogen storage, and decarbonisation efforts.

What you can bring:

In addition to strong communication and leadership skills, ideal candidates will have:

  • A Master’s degree (MEng/MSc) in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Chartered Engineer status and membership in IMechE (desirable).
  • Experience in regulated industries like power, chemical, or oil & gas (desirable).
