Job summary

Women's Engineering Society is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer based in Barnstaple. In this role, you will provide mechanical engineering design and development support for a variety of projects, contributing to the delivery of engineering solutions in both commercial and military applications.

The position offers flexible working arrangements and a competitive salary of up to £55k, depending on experience. Join us in our mission of protecting what matters.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of design, test, manufacture and in service support of Mechanical hardware.
• Experience in military and commercial environments.
• Preferable chartered status or working towards and membership in relevant institutions.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to on-time delivery of engineering solutions.
• Conduct detailed design, analysis, and documentation.
• Ensure clear communication within project teams and stakeholders.

Skills

Knowledge of military and commercial design standards
