Job summary

Ensera Design is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Bristol-based consultancy. You will apply engineering principles to electromechanical systems, lead projects, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with software, electronics and design teams across client engagements.

We value hands-on development from concept through manufacture, risk management in line with ISO13485/14971, and delivering high-quality outputs on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Experience applying engineering principles to electromechanical systems.
• Experience developing numerical models (FEA/CFD) for electromechanical analysis.
• Design experience from concept through manufacture.
• Experience in medical device development (ISO13485) and risk management (ISO14971).
• Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams and mentor juniors.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; client relationship skills.
• Ability to lead projects and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects and deliver high-quality outputs on time and budget.
• Mentor junior team members and collaborate across software, electronics and design teams.
• Develop and analyse electromechanical systems using modelling techniques.
