Job summary

Kier Group is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join Kier Mechanical & Electrical on a major life sciences project in London, with site work moving to Harlow. You will deliver mechanical services, lead design reviews, manage change, and ensure quality and safety in line with Kier Standards.

Ideal candidates will hold CSCS and SMSTS, demonstrate strong communication and collaboration, and apply sound, commercially aware decision-making in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• CSCS and SMSTS accreditation are required.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities

• Review designs with design teams and clients to ensure they are optimised for efficient and safe construction, fully compliant with standards and contract requirements.
• Managing robust change control and identifying risk and opportunity throughout the project lifecycle.
• Implementing and managing quality control procedures in line with Kier Standards, ensuring all works are carried out safely and in accordance with UK law.
• Providing leadership for project team members within your area of control, setting clear expectations and offering guidance to maximise team performance.
• Ensuring the successful completion of projects in line with agreed quality and commercial plans, meeting targets within agreed timescales and cost constraints.
