Job summary

Cortech Talent Solutions Ltd is seeking a Mechanical Engineer in Exeter to join the Design and Development team. You will contribute to prototyping, testing, and validation activities across product lines, applying solid engineering principles and industry standards.

You will evaluate performance, implement design modifications, and create technical literature, specs, and test records to ensure quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction throughout the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Proficient in 3D CAD for mechanical design and analysis.
• Experience with engineering calculations for pressure containment, strength, and thermal performance.
• Experience managing technical documentation and change control in a PLM system.
• Lead full-cycle design including requirements capture, CAD modelling, calculations and tolerance analysis.

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering principles and industry standards to support product design, development, and validation.
• Evaluate design assumptions, identify risks, and provide robust recommendations.
• Develop technical specifications for engineering projects and tooling.
• Produce QA documentation, test records and compliance evidence.
