Job summary

Ridge & Partners Llp in Manchester is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical design and project delivery for diverse building services projects. You will drive technical quality and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, while mentoring junior engineers.

The role focuses on concept through to completion, with direct client interaction and responsibility for delivering high-quality building services solutions. A Chartered status is preferred or pursued.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in mechanical building services design and project delivery.
• Experience taking responsibility for mechanical engineering packages and coordinating designs across multidisciplinary projects.
• Ideally Chartered Engineer status, or working towards chartership with an appropriate professional institution such as CIBSE or IMechE.

Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical design and delivery of building services projects from concept through to detailed design and completion.
• Ensure technical quality of mechanical engineering designs and documentation.
• Collaborate with structural engineers, architects, surveyors, contractors and other project teams.
• Attend and contribute to client, project and technical meetings.
• Provide clear technical advice to clients and project teams.
