Job summary

Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB) in Leeds is seeking a Senior or Associate Mechanical Engineer to deliver MEP building services design from feasibility through to construction, working with a multidisciplinary team.

You will lead day-to-day design tasks, coordinate with electrical engineers, perform calculations, develop drawings and specifications, and support tender packages while embracing a hybrid working pattern.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering.
• Ideal to be progressing towards professional registration (CIBSE/IMechE).

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor engineers and guide career paths.
• Mechanical design for building services including heating, ventilation, cooling and water systems.
• Prepare calculations, drawings and specifications for design stages.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and project leads for compliance.
• Support tender and construction design packages and respond to queries.
• Use IES, AutoCAD and Revit to deliver coordinated outputs.
• Undertake site surveys and construction monitoring as required.
