Atomic Talent is pleased to present an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Engineer (Design) to work with an industry-leading organisation, working on major projects in the Nuclear sector.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with an understanding of design development, procurement, testing, and commissioning to work with a team of talented Mechanical Design Engineers delivering full lifecycle design packages for bespoke, and high-value, engineering projects in highly challenging nuclear environments.
The team is highly successful and works across a number of high-value projects. Your focus will be to deliver an exceptional level of quality design through your own personal expertise, solid stakeholder management and the provision of expert advice to colleagues, clients and sub-contractors. The role requires hands-on engineering with an exceptional attention to detail and the ability to take a project from early concept stage through to detail design and design for manufacture. It also entails the management of installation and commissioning via main works contractors.
Ideally, Degree qualified and a Chartered Engineer (or with demonstrable equivalent experience), you will already be working in a highly regulated industry and experienced working on large, multi-discipline projects. Exposure to Project Engineering is an advantage.
You'll understand the full design lifecycle and have excellent leadership and people management qualities with the skills to implement and deliver complex engineering packages.
