Chartered Mechanical Engineer - Data Centre Sector
Are you a Chartered Mechanical Engineer eager to take on technically challenging projects in the fast-evolving data centre industry? If innovative designs and cutting-edge developments excite you, join our clients collaborative and forward-thinking Building Engineering team in London on a permanent basis.


About the Role
Be part of a team that designs some of the world's most advanced and impactful buildings. Working with major cloud providers, leading colocation companies, and prominent developers, they contribute to global projects from feasibility to completion. While their primary focus is data centres, you'll also have opportunities to work on other critical facilities, including healthcare infrastructure.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Conducting comfort and thermal analysis for buildings and spaces.
  2. Leading the spatial and technical coordination of building services, ensuring seamless integration into designs.
  3. Managing the production of models, drawings, and specifications within set budgets and timelines.
  4. Overseeing and coordinating multidisciplinary teams, including specialist contributors.

About You
The ideal candidate will:

  1. Be a Chartered Engineer with expertise in Building Services, offering hands-on experience in systems design and installations across various sectors, particularly data centres and mission-critical facilities.
  2. Support the growth and development of team members by providing guidance, mentorship, and constructive feedback.
  3. Demonstrate a commitment to sustainable building design, with a strong focus on energy efficiency and carbon reduction. You should challenge conventional approaches and work collaboratively to achieve optimal results.
  4. Have strong commercial awareness, with proven experience in resource planning, budgeting, and meeting financial targets.
  5. Be skilled in energy modeling software, ideally IES, and 3D modeling tools like Revit.
